Round 18 of Metropolitan Pennant
Peter Russell, Friday, 11 July 2008This round was to be played on Sunday 22/2/2009 - so it would not clash with the final of the Australian Open 2009, which will be held in Shepparton.

Junior Bowls Squad
Creighton Parker, Wednesday, 30 April 2008At a meeting last Wednesday 23rd April interested parties from Bundoora and Montmorency Bowling Clubs have decided to put their resources together and create a district junior bowls group as has been done in many other parts of the state and under the guidance of Geoff Burt and the State Junior Bowls Committee.
That State Junior body has asked us to advise you of this direction so that the formation of the group (I will let you know the name when it has been decided) can be recorded in your minutes and in so doing affords the group some status which allows for insurance cover issues at various levels to flow through into our structure
I hope that you can act upon this email advice at this stage. Once the group has fully formed and has chosen a name we will be more formal in our advice to you. Of course any assistance you can provide in "spreading the word" would be appreciated
Our first get together is scheduled for Sunday 25th May at 10.00 am at Montmorency Bowling Club followed by a sausage sizzle
